Meet Lauren
I am currently a third year medical student, having made the decision to leave my career as a medical Speech-Language Pathologist in 2022. I used to work in the acute and critical care settings as an SLP and loved being immersed in the medical field, but I wanted to have more responsibility, more science, and more variety in my career on the day-to-day. Thus, I returned to school to study medicine!
I have always had an interest in practicing medicine and, in a roundabout way, I have finally set the wheels in motion on that path as a non-traditional student.
I have had some wonderful years that led me here, and have had many interesting life experiences that I believe will shape the way I practice medicine for the better. I hope you stick around with me to see where this path takes me – perhaps it will inspire you to chase your dreams too!
